Love comes gently upon the heart, and slowly it builds, with light flowing joy it builds. The bits and pieces of friendship and trust join to grow into cherishing and eventually loving another. We must remember that love sees with clarity and honesty. However, our imperfections, our human nature, change what we perceive as characteristics of love and of the heart. We must take a moment to see with our hearts the love which we carry with us, is pure. Then we may see the world with total and complete clarity. With clarity, you may see to change yourself, but do not try to change others; for they must change themselves. No one has the right to ask another to change to be loved; we must love in order to change. As the verse says “Love does not dishonor others, nor does it delight in evil”.  We must accept ourselves and love others for who they are, not who we want them to become. Love does not fail us, we fail to love others with purity and honesty.
